He has worked in agriculture all of his working life in the scientific, regulatory and private sectors. Stephen specialises in export market access projects, technical writing and regulatory compliance systems.

Rebecca’s expertise lies in the area of agrichemical regulation. Rebecca previously worked with ACVM and has an excellent knowledge of agrichemical registration requirements. Rebecca works with horticultural industry groups on agrichemical strategy development, registration of new compounds and EPA reassessment of compounds.
Rebecca is also currently the Executive manager for NZ Citrus Growers.

Sally has an extensive science research background with over 10 years of research experience in environmental ecology, molecular biology, and microbial ecology. Prior to joining Market Access Solutionz Sally’s previous roles were as a Research Scientist at NIWA, post-doctoral researcher at NIWA and the Wellington School of Medicine. Sally specialises in technical writing and analysis, biosecurity, and pest risk assessment. Sally also manages the planning, co-ordination and implementation of research programmes for horticultural industry clients.
Sally is the Vegetable Research & Innovation Board coordinator and Research manager for NZ Citrus Growers.

BSc (Biological Sciences), Deakin University, Melbourne | Biosecurity Advisor
Gisele's expertise lies in the area of import and export regulation. Gisele comes to us from MPI where she has been a Senior Advisor in the Fresh Produce Imports team and prior to that worked in Plant Exports. Gisele has a wide range of biosecurity and industry experience from her time at MPI and considerable experience in biosecurity strategy, preparedness and response as a result of her role with the Department of Primary Industries (DPI) in Australia. Gisele also worked as a DPI plant pathology research scientist developing practical pest and disease management strategies mainly in the vegetable sector. Her experience from Australia includes managing fruit fly and other emergency responses that provides valuable insight to us and our clients as we move towards GIA.

Cressida comes from a regulatory background and previously worked as an Advisor in the hazardous substances team at the EPA. Prior to that she worked in the Fresh Produce Imports and Plant Exports group of MPI where she gained a wide range of biosecurity and market regulation experience. Her expertise lies in the area of hazardous substances regulation. She has an excellent knowledge of EPA’s requirements especially in relation to hazardous substance and status of substance (SOS) applications. Cressida works with horticultural industry groups on agrichemical strategy development and with registrants on EPA applications for new and existing substances, containment approvals and vertebrate toxic agent applications.

Mel has worked in horticulture for the majority of her career and has an extensive background in quality systems. Her earlier roles with MAF (now MPI) provided an understanding of biosecurity export and import systems. Through hands on phytosanitary and quality inspection work Mel has gained valuable insight into how horticultural export quality systems work at an operational level. This, in addition to an in depth understanding of certification and accreditation requirements place Mel in a strong position to advise and develop a range of practical and effective quality system solutions to meet regulatory and customer requirements.

He joined us in July 2017 having previously worked at the EPA and at WorkSafe NZ, in teams resonsible for approvals of hazardous substances, and the sites used to store them.
